'The Tale Of Brin And Bent And Minno Marylebone'

Here is a selection of work i did for the Graphic Novel 'The Tale Of Brin And Bent And Minno Marylebone' Written by the legend that is Ravi Thornton http://www.davidhigham.co.uk/clients/Ravi_Thornton.htm it was near a year in the making and it will be released on May 2nd 2012 by Johnathan Cape (Random House) and will be carrying a For Adults Only sticker for sure when its released ive been informed . Ive picked a few pages from the 88 pages in the book (without text) to show along with some stills of the scenery models used . The book is going to also be musically scored with a reading of the story by Ravi (with an accompanying cd) by this very talented man http://www.myspace.com/othonmataragas all the title typography in the book was done by a good friend of mine www.myspace.com/sk1pt.

Here is a illustration i did a while back or a magazine called 'kult' IT WAS BANNED BY THE HEALTH PROMOTION BOARD OF SINGAPORE...UNBELIVABLE! (email below names removed of course)

"Hi Andy,

I am glad to let you know that the magazines have finally been printed. Unfortunately, since the Health Promotion Board here in Singapore was supporting this magazine, they wanted to fully remove your artwork from the publication cos they didn't want to show the spots that people get when they are diagnosed with HIV. We were all so annoyed because they are supposed to educate not hide. We're a fan of your work and will show the full version of your work on the website on our own accord.

Apologies for the long wait anyhow. Please send me your address so I can send you some copies nonetheless.

Sooooo here is my first piece of work that has not been 'Brin and Bent And Minno Marlybone' related in a year. It is actually a character consept for a trucker named 'Sparrow' which i am hoping to include in a short story i will be illustrating and writing later this year.

Sssssoooo....
I have not posted anything on my blog for a year.......what have i been doing? was i kidnapped? imprisoned?.........no. For the last year i have been working on my first graphic novel written by Ravi Thornton enitled 'The Tale Of Brin And Bent And Minno Marlybone'to be published feb 2012 by Johnathan Cape at Random House. Its is 88 pages of solid pure hard work and ive just finished. Be warned this will be carrying an 'adults only' sticker for sure when released ,I dont think i can post any substantial samples of it just yet, but stay tuned.

Graphic Novel (publishers pitch)

I have just began working with a very talented author called Ravi Thornton, we have just started collaborating on a pitch for our first Graphic Novel entitled 'Child' and below are a couple of the character designs for 'Brin and Bent' (heads only, bodies are still yet to be made). Prodigy Music Video Comp

Here are various elements and my finished video of my submission for The Prodigy 'Run with the wolves music video' comp sponsored by Dailymotion.com which was largely completed whilst I was ill over xmas and new year but it was one hell of a lot of work much more than I originally intended, this was also an exercise in learning the animation software Anime Studio .enjoy :)

Hello all

Ive not been blogging much but I hope for that to change this year. Ive been busy as usual ,here are some samples of what ive been up to below :) enjoy.

First off.........
I was commisioned to create an editorial for a magazine form Johannesburg called Migrate Magazine (http://www.theloerieawards.co.za/) it was for their 'Signs of the Times' issue and here it is (the illustration is on the left and is entitled 'Portrait of a recruitment consultant').

Secondly.........
I was commisioned to produce a editorial for Kult Magazine (Singapore) (http://www.kult.com.sg/). This was kinda unusual as aswell as appearing in their magazine the work is going to be animated and placed on these Arcade machines they have placed in hotel lobbys around and about Singapore. The editorial itself was based on 'Hiv can lay dormant for years before becoming fully fledged Aids'. (pictured below)

I am currently in production of a 'old school' stop motion Music Video for Los Angeles Woven for the song 'Prickly Pair' the song clocks in at around 5mins so by my calculations i need 3500 frames of animation if I run it at 12 frames per second, one HELL of alot of work ,but its looking great so far. Solo Exhibition Opening Night

My first solo exhibition has come to a close,It launched on the 25Th June and ran until the 20Th July at the Greenroom in my home town of Manchester. It all turned out to be really great overall. I got a really positive reception to my work :).Here are some (blurry)photos of the opening night taken on me mates faulty phone camera.
