Banned In Singapore

Here is a illustration i did a while back or a magazine called 'kult' IT WAS BANNED BY THE HEALTH PROMOTION BOARD OF SINGAPORE...UNBELIVABLE! (email below names removed of course)

"Hi Andy,

I am glad to let you know that the magazines have finally been printed. Unfortunately, since the Health Promotion Board here in Singapore was supporting this magazine, they wanted to fully remove your artwork from the publication cos they didn't want to show the spots that people get when they are diagnosed with HIV. We were all so annoyed because they are supposed to educate not hide. We're a fan of your work and will show the full version of your work on the website on our own accord.

Apologies for the long wait anyhow. Please send me your address so I can send you some copies nonetheless.

Refreshing!!

Sooooo here is my first piece of work that has not been 'Brin and Bent And Minno Marlybone' related in a year. It is actually a character consept for a trucker named 'Sparrow' which i am hoping to include in a short story i will be illustrating and writing later this year.

Where the hell have i been?

Sssssoooo....
I have not posted anything on my blog for a year.......what have i been doing? was i kidnapped? imprisoned?.........no. For the last year i have been working on my first graphic novel written by Ravi Thornton enitled 'The Tale Of Brin And Bent And Minno Marlybone'to be published feb 2012 by Johnathan Cape at Random House. Its is 88 pages of solid pure hard work and ive just finished. Be warned this will be carrying an 'adults only' sticker for sure when released ,I dont think i can post any substantial samples of it just yet, but stay tuned.
